Exploring the Impact of VSPO's Multi-Title Esports Tournament Esports Asian Champions League (ACL).

Asian esports event organizer, VSPO, has introduced a new multi-title tournament called the Esports Asian Champions League (ACL).

VSPO intends for the ACL to be an annual competition, spanning a six-month-long season. According to the official announcement, the ACL aims to become the region’s "most diverse and accessible esports event to date."

The new league was unveiled by Dino Ying, Founder of VSPO, during a ceremony at INS Park in Shanghai, China. The event was attended by notable figures in the esports industry, including HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, Vice Chairman of the Savvy Games Group, who will also serve as the Honorary Chairman of the league.

The ACL will be overseen by a newly created entity, the Asia Champions League Foundation, which will manage the league’s operations. Jonny Wang and Xie Fan, Co-founders of VSPO, will take on the roles of Chief Executive and President of the ACL, respectively.

While the specific game titles for the ACL have not been confirmed, VSPO has stated that it plans to feature between seven and ten titles at launch. The teaser for the tournament showcased games such as Street Fighter, League of Legends, and PUBG.

Additionally, the ACL has been announced as a partner of the Saudi-run Esports World Cup (EWC), with both organizations currently exploring how the tournament can be incorporated into the Global EWC Qualifications for 2025. The inaugural season is set to take place in XR-enabled gaming arenas across Asia. Beyond its regional ambitions, VSPO envisions the ACL’s long-term future in fully digital arenas, with the goal of setting new standards for cloud-based, virtual, and immersive esports tournaments.

Founded in 2016, VSPO is a key player in the Asian esports scene, having partnered with numerous companies, including a strategic alliance with China Media Group and the Esports World Cup Foundation.
